Littlepaw's Hunting

Nightbird padded quietly towards the apprentices den and stopped at it's entrance. "C'mon Littlepaw, I'm going to teach you to hunt today!", she called. The black cat gazed toward to lazily rising sun, spreading warm rays across the Clans. Letting the bright orb warm her pelt, the warrior bounded towards the camp entrance and waited for her apprentice to awaken.

IC: Littlepaw ran up to Nightwing, his black fur gleaming and his eyes sparkling in excitement. "Yay!" he mewed, running towards the territory. "C'mon! I'm gonna catch the biggest fish!" he laughed with a purr.

She rolled her eyes in amusement. This was one eager apprentice! "Don't get too worked up now!", the she-cat purred. "Or you'll be too tired to catch something bigger than the fish I'm going to catch! Now come on!", Nightbird bolted into the territory.
 After a few heartbeats of traveling, this young mentor stopped at a clear stream with fish swimming aimlessly all around. Noticing a tree growing close to the river, she trotted towards it's shadow and searched the water. "You don't want to be too loud now, or make any sudden movements. They can see and hear almost as well as we can." After a moment, her green eyes lit up and she dashed her dark paws into the water. With an audible heave, the small cat pulled a fine-looking sunfish from the water.
 "And that's how you do it. I can never explain it with words so.. you got it? If you do, you can try as well.", The she-cat noticed she hadn't killed it yet, so she nipped the back of it's head and added, "Since we're in a shadow, we don't have to hide our own. But if we're in the light, keep your shadow off the water."

The member 'Night' has done the following action : Dices roll

Littlepaw nodded and looked at the cold water, watching the ripples as fish after fish zoomed past, leaving a silvery wake in the stream.
The apprentice held his paw up, waiting for the right time, and jabbed his paw into the water, just barely missing a fish that slipped past. He looked at his wet paw with no fish.
"Aww!" he mewed in frustration." I almost had that one!" he huffed.

The member 'Little' has done the following action : Dices roll

"Yes, you were very close.", the she-cat mewed sympathetically. "Try again, but with both paws this time. That way the fish will have no place to swim away to." Sitting down, she laid her striped tail on her fish. "I can imagine that the fish are so fat now is because they've been eating as well as we have this Green-leaf."
