Firekit and Daisykit's Apprentice Ceremonies

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, join here beneath the Jagged-rock for a clan meeting!" Sagestar yowled.

Firekit slowly poked his head from the nursery entrance, hoping this was this apprentice ceremony but he wasn't sure. His eyes were plastered on Sagestar, wondering if he should come on out.

"Come on! Come on!" Daisykit shouted suddenly, his bright blue eyes shining in glee. "I think that's for us, brother!" The white tom grinned and butted his head gently against Firekit's side, pushing him out of the nursery before running into the clearing.

Sagestar waited for the crowd to gather, "Today, two new members of our clan will begin their warrior training." He meowed, "Firekit and Daisykit, step forward."

The deputy once again made her way to the same spot in her crowd. The call of Sagestar gave a nice echo though the camp. Her eyes wondered over to the two kits, who were hurrying over to the front of the crowd. A purr rumbled in her chest, then after a few moments down memory lane, the deputy glanced up at her leader, for soon, the mentors to the new apprentices would be announced to the clan.

Nightcloud was quite from her spot, but she smiled as she watched the two kits happily come from the nursery before getting their names called. She had a feeling she wouldn't be getting one; with already having Eaglepaw, but of course, she couldn't remember if all the other warriors already had apprentices so maybe there as a chance of somebody getting another one.

Firekit laughed a little before he barreled out after Daisykit. He had only sat down for a moment until he was told to step forward so he did. His paws seemed to slip out from under him he was so excited, so he fell and landed on his chin. He huffed as he stood up and shook a little dust off of his muzzle and looked up at Sagestar, hoping no one saw his foolish accident.

Daisykit purred as he followed Firekit up to the Jagged-Rock. He hadn't been sure what anyone was saying, but his mother had slowly explained to him what would happen earlier that morning - and by the way the clan was staring at them with bright looks on their faces, he was only reassured.

"From this day forth, until they have received their warrior names, they will be known as Firepaw and Daisypaw." Sagestar said, "Firepaw, Nightwing will be your mentor." He paused, nodding to the deputy. She'd make a fine mentor for Firepaw, he was certain. "And Daisypaw, I will mentor myself."

The leader seemed to finish talking and Daisypaw (that had to be his name now, right?) glanced around eagerly, looking for his mentor and was rather surprised when Sagestar jumped down and padded up to the tom to greet him. The white tom felt so excited he near started shaking as he gently touched his nose to the gray tabby's in greeting for the first time.

Firepaw smiled and nodded, looking over to Nightwing. Then he walked over and touched his nose to hers gently then asked excitedly "When do we start training?"

Occ: Sorry, had a bad weekend, then school decided to make an appearance.

Nightwing her her head lower, so the newly christened Firepaw could touch it. As the new apprentice asked his question, the she-cat's ears flicked with amusement, it is one of those questions that would always be asked. The deputy quickly replied without a moment's hesitation. "Well, tomorrow we will go train...But, for now, go join your denmates." Taking a step back, she dismissed him with a flick of her tail.
