Kitalicious

A small, fluffy kit that was the spitting image of a red squirrel squirmed in his nest. The kits' den was very quiet, and Squirrelkit felt giddy. His dark eyes scoured the room for some motion. He slowly gathered some moss, and started pawing at it like he had seen some of the older kits do, unsheathing his tiny, pointed claws to get a better grip. As he threw it up into the air, during his desperate attempts to bring it down again, he flung it to the other side of the nursery. Only StarClan knows how he managed to do that.

Duskkit's ears perked. "What are you doing?" He asked, his eyes straying to the moss-ball on the floor. "You could get in trouble for that!" He whined. As much as Duskkit tried to be the good one, he wanted to participate. Still, he ground his paws into the ground and stood ground.

"Oh, s-sorry," Squirrelkit mewed, his voice nervously high-pitched. "I-I didn't know." He wasn't very good at dealing with other cats, others made him feel nervous.

"Oookaayyy. Maybe we can play a little, but that's all. Okay?" Duskkit ran to pick up the ball of moss.

"Oh! Y-yes, just a little!" Squirrelkit agreed, smiling a pleased smile at Duskkit, before stopping and feeling shy again. He timidly watched Duskkit get the moss ball, waiting patiently where he stood.

Squirrelkit lunged forward and bumped it bak to Duskkit with his forehead, he let out a small laugh as he did so. He felt more comfortable just with one other kit.
