Medicine Cat Meeting

Kestrelflight padded up the entrance of the cave and sat down. With a sigh, she looked over to her apprentice, Ivypaw, and then back down to the ground.

Mallowroot silently walked up to Kestrelflight, his bright amber eyes glowing in the dim light in the cave glowing from the moonstone. He gave a gentle purr and walked up to the old friend. "A new apprentice?" he asked, flicking his tail in greeting to Ivypaw.
"Remember when we were apprentices?" He sighed.

Kestrelflight's eyes brightened when one of her real life friends, Mallowroot, joined her. Purring roughly from lack of use, she nodded. "I do. Those were some of the good times." she sighed, her purr dying out. "But yes." she shot an angry glance at her apprentice, and shrugged. "Ivypaw." Kestrelflight looked around, leaning forward so she was whispering in Mallowroot's ear. "I can feel it, Mallowroot. My death. I've aged faster than I should, and I feel it. It's just waiting to pounce. I know it." she whispered earnestly.

Ivypaw dipped her head to Mallowroot in a formal greeting. "Where are the other medicine cats?" she asked Kestrelflight.

"Coming." she said gruffly, settling back down.
