Hello Friend [Kestrel's Insanity: Part 3]

Kestrelflight was cramped. She was desperately tired of sitting in the medicine den, staring at the wall. Icestream had not visited her, not once, since he told her he might not love her anymore. Finally, it was just too much. Staring at an 'empty' Silentfeather was too much. No love was too much. She needed a friend. So she headed out to the forest, as that was her only friend right now.

Her feet made no sound as she slid through the forest. Her brown striped coat blended in mostly with the brownish undergrowth. Finally, she found herself in a clearing she often found herself in. THis time, it was different. It felt like somebody was near. Perking her ears, she heard talking.

"Oh, Lilacstorm. Give her a chance. She seems really nice!" A tom voice! But where? And who was Lilacstorm?

"Well. Fine Redheart. But she better be good." came a chilly, she-cat voice. Kestrelflight leapt back as the bushes in front of her rustled, showing two, rather large cats. One was a scruffy red tom with eyes of deep amber. The other one was a tall, but lithe and sleek black cat with green eyes deeper than hers.

"He-hello?" Kestrelflight said, cocking her head. "Who are you? Are you from a clan?" Kestrelflight asked, her voice slightly disconnected.

The black cat shook her head, stepping forward slightly. "I am Lilacstorm. This is my friend, Redheart." Redheart nodded eagerly.

"Yeah! We want to be your friends!" he mewed cheerfuly; strange for such a large tom. Kestrelflight's ears perked.

"Friends! I want friends! Thank you! I am Kestrelflight. The SkyClan medicine cat!" she said with pride, fluffing out her chest. In excitement, her old kit nature.

"Yes, friends...." Lilacstorm confirmed. "Can you take us back to camp now?" Kestrelflight nodded up and down eagerly.

"Yeah! Come on!" she chided, spinning around and dashing off, hoping.. Just hoping... These strangers would follow.
