Help

Clan Name: Simple; the name of your Clan. A Clan should be named either after their founding leader or the territory they inhabit.

Virtues: It's what your Clan values in a warrior. This will shape what the cats in your Clan act like and how they are seen by outsiders.

Territory: The hunting grounds of your Clan. This will shape your Clan as much as anything else. It'll determine what they look like, eat, and their skills, and the names of the cats in your Clan to an extent. Detail the borders and terrain.

Camp: Where your Clan lives. A camp should be easy defensible but hard to attack, be a a safe distance away from Twolegs, be large enough for the entire Clan, and be near to a source of water. Be sure to detail all of the dens.

Skills: The unique skills that your Clan possesses. It should be skills that your Clan need to have in order to survive in their territory (e.g. swimming/fishing for RiverClan, stealth/night hunting for ShadowClan, speed for WindClan, etc.)

Physical Description: What the members of your Clan typically look like. Are they stocky? Are they small and swift-footed? Do their pelts tend to be a certain color? Again, this is affected by the territory your Clan is in.

Members: The members of your Clan. I've found that there should be roughly eight warriors, five apprentices, four queens, and five elders (based off of the allegiances in the original series). This obviously excludes the special ranks; leader, medicine cat, and deputy. The number of kits are completely up to you, though I'd recommend two to six.

BONUS

Props if:

  • you have it so it's forbidden for the name of the Clan to be given as either a prefix/suffix.

  • your virtues not only reflect the typical personality of your cats and what they attempt to strive for, but also bring out some things that outsiders might see as negative.

  • the territory of your Clan affects the names of your Clan members, their physical description, and their skills.

  • your camp is something you could realistically stumble upon if walking through terrain (well, stumble upon if it wasn't so well hidden).

  • your skills were developed out of a need for survival rather than a random assortment of things you thought would be cool for your Clan to have

  • your physical description is also out of a need for survival and reflect your skills

  • the names of your members are based off of plant and animal life that they'd see in their territory (e.g. a white cat named Sheep- because they live in a field where there's lots of grazing white sheep around)

  • you make a map/Clan symbol

YOU WILL WIN A BILLION VIRTUAL HUGS FROM SLEEPY IF YOU MAKE A MAP WITH EVERY CUSTOM CLAN MADE HERE INCLUDED :D

Clan Name:
MeadowClan

Virtues:
MeadowClan cats value loyalty, kindness, forgiveness, and cats that speak from their heart. They are very family-oriented, and are quick to make friends. They dislike fighting and prefer peace, and many say that a MeadowClan patrol would be quicker to strike up a conversation with a trespasser than chase them off. They are often called cowardly, weak, and soft. Despite the sneering and insults they receive from other Clans, kits are always told to be polite, and are raised to have self-control. Intelligent and clever cats usually rise to the ranks faster than the violent ones.

Territory:
MeadowClan hunting grounds comprise of a large open meadow with soil that is thoroughly saturated with water. In Newleaf and Greenleaf, the water rises just above a cat's paw. They are separated from other Clans by a river and there are lots of streams that run throughout the territory that join up with it. Trees mark the end of MeadowClan territory. MeadowClan is blessed with rich hunting grounds, both when it comes to prey and plants. There are many lizards, frogs, and snakes that serve as the primary food source for the Clan. Small birds and voles are often found among the grasses as well. Fish from the river keep the Clan well-fed all year.

Camp:
The camp is in a muddy dip in the ground, which is surrounded by sedge and a bramble thicket that conceals it from outside eyes. It has an entrance through a narrow and short tunnel woven from reeds. In the center of the main clearing is a large willow tree. The leader addresses the Clan from the branches of it. The roots also serve as the leader's den. The fresh-kill pile is also in the main clearing, where it is surrounded by stones found in streams and cleaned out by apprentices so the prey doesn't get covered in muck. The nursery is underneath a thorn bush near the camp wall, the apprentice den is in a clump of sedge, and the warriors den is nearby under a bramble patch. On the other side of the clearing is the medicine den, which is a large elderberry bush, and the herbs are stored nearby in a mostly dry hole in the ground, surrounded by leaves and grasses to keep unwanted things out. Next to it is the elder's den, which is under a bramble bush similar to the warriors den. It is surrounded and filled with clumps of fern. All the dens are made from soft grass found in the territory and lined with feathers.

Skills:
MeadowClan cats are stealthy, moving through the grass lightly. This makes them great hunters. Swimming is also a skill that many, but not all, MeadowClan cats possess. However, they are sluggish and poor fighters at best when it comes to straight on paw-to-paw battles. In battle, they usually take a more strategic approach. This usually means sneaking up from behind and multiple cats focusing on the same opponent to create confusion and disorder. Trees are rarely seen in the territory, most of them being at the border or short willow trees. And being that most of their territory is open, they are terrible climbers.

Physical Description:
MeadowClan cats are typically small compared to the average cat. They have diverse pelt colors, but usually short fur. Cats usually say that MeadowClan cats look like kittypets with their soft fur, small size, and plumpness.

Clan Name: BogClan

Virtues: BogClan cats strive to be lithe and agile, but have well muscled legs and shoulders for powering through water. BogClan cats have hardened jaws, and kits are trained, three moons before they can be apprenticed, to swim at least a rabbit-hop, to start building muscles for swimming early. Having lungs that are larger than a normal cat's for diving longer are also a special trait these cats possess.

Territory: BogClan traveled through acres of forest and arrived at an abandoned cranberry bog. The bog stretches fifteen acres and is fresh, clean, and filled with fish. Cranberries still grow every year, and these cats happen to love these and gather these for food.

Camp: An old fox den a foxlength for the northern most edge of the bog was found

Skills:

Physical Description: BogClan cats are "misshapen". They have lithe builds, with well muscled legs and shoulders and strong, hardened jaws. Their fur is of medium length, closer to long-haired for protection from cold northern-winds and freezing bog waters in Leaf-bare.

i will make that map whenever there's like 4 and do 4 at a time because i can ;u;

Clan Name: DesertClan

Virtues: The cats of DesertClan are large and powerful, almost like large cats, but also very fast. They have very powerful legs and large paws for withstanding long sprints across the desert, and generally the more powerful cats tend to be smaller. They very proud of themselves for their pros, and do not like to speak of their cons against other cats.

Territory: DesertClan's territory lies in a desert (duh) plain, with a larger-than-normal oasis in the northwestern edge of the territory. On it roams many prairie dogs and snakes which often end up fresh-kill for the Clan.

Camp: The camp of DesertClan is inside of an abandoned prairie dog den that had apparently housed a huge swarm of them, because it was already very large in size when they arrived there. The dens consist of branches of the den that were dug out to make larger for room. The nursery entrance is hidden behind shrubbery that was brought down into the den, and the nursery entrance-- just inside --branches off into the elder's den. The rest of the dens are throughout the camp, not as well protected but protected in some. A large rock that seemed to grow out of the ground is where the leader addresses the Clan.

Skills: The cats of DesertClan are generally fast and powerful, and are good at finding water (if they can't get to the oasis) by digging underground. They know what parts of the snake to eat and what parts are poisonous (learned the hard way lol). They cannot climb very well due to their size and they are generally loud and clumsy. They are horrible swimmers, but very good at digging and of course, running.

Physical Description: Most cats in DesertClan are large and muscly, but when you see a small cat from the clan, look out, because for some reason they're a lot more powerful. Their pelts come in an assortment of browns, tans, oranges and blacks, and occasionally white here and there.

Clan Name: LeafClan

Virtues: LeafClan cats are loyal, fast learners, and don't fight for nothing. When they have a choice, they try to talk the fight, rather than injure their warriors, or other warriors in different clans. Rogues that are passing by say that LeafClan are softies, but you may never see them coming because of their great ability to hide and stalk in trees.

Territory: LeafClan is surrounded by oak trees, and on the edge of the territory, a couple of pine trees. With the trees, mice and very few voles find shelter under roots of trees, or dig holes. Squirrels and birds are also found in LeafClan territory, for the the trees provide shelter for them. There is a small pond, and a river going through the territory, but many LeafClan cats didn't bother to learn how to fish. Not many decided to learn to fish for the clan. The clan's territory stretches 15 acres on each side.

Camp: The camp is a big gorge in the middle of their territory, and have bushes surrounding the sides, except for the tunnel that leads in and out of the camp. They collect moss and bird feathers, and some reeds by the river to make nests for the leader, medicine cats, elders, queens, and kits. For the warriors, if they have enough to spare, the warriors may have the same nests, but usually, they have moss nests lined with reeds.

Skills: LeafClan cats are stealthy, for enemies never see them coming until a cat drops out of a tree and knocks you to the ground. LeafClan cats also attack from the ground, by using their small form to push them closer to the ground until they pounce on the enemy. LeafClan time is mostly spent in trees, and they know this by their strong legs to cause them to jump and leap farther than other cats. Though they may jump and leap far, they still catch their prey with very little flaws.

Physical Description: LeafClan cats have small forms, and usually have short fur that keep the cats light while in the trees. Apart from their small form, they have very muscular legs, which (as told before) let them leap farther.

PostSubject: Re: Create a Clan!   Create a Clan! EmptyTue 1 Jan 2013 - 22:50

I'll work on the cats eventually. It's so tiring and it's 12:45 AM. ._.

Clan Name:
Soarclan

Virtues:
Intelligence, patience, and a willingness to concede nothing are the attributes taught to all Soarclan cats. While battles are a rare sight due to their location, past skirmishes were denoted by Soarclan's steadfast refusal to give up, even during losing causes. Because of this, other cats have found Soarclan cats to be stubborn to the point of great annoyance, often unable to make any ground in peace due to the clan's refusal to compromise. Their intelligence in other situations has led them to be cautious of jumping into things headfirst, and they are particularly suspicious of strangers, creating another barricade for loners to join the clan and yet another reason that the whispers that ride on the breeze from gossiping cats bemoan the obstinate, suspicious, skinny felines from the dense forest.

Territory:
While the ground holds certain prey for consumption, Soarclan feel more at home in the trees. Because of this, their main sources of prey are either squirrels or birds. The clans unwillingness to concede any form of defeat allows for unnatural hunting abilities that have been called "borderline psychopathic". As such, bigger birds of prey commonly find themselves on the fresh-kill pile. Their territory is a dense coalition of trees that serve as a shelter and as a means of transportation: as apprentices, Soarclan cats all learn how to traverse the tops of the forest with ease. Two giant trees stand like silent guards where newly-christened warriors have their vigils.

Camp:
There are two sections of the camp: one on the ground and one in the trees. The portion that is earthbound is for kits, apprentices and elders - those that are either learning to scale the trees or are too young/old to do such. There are two trees near each other that each have a big, carved-out hole at the base from seasons past: the one on the left is for kits, and the one on the right is for elders. Apprentices tend to sleep outside, for the dense trees keep them hidden from the elements. These holes aren't that big though, and clan she-cats are cautioned to avoid having kits should there already be two queens at once. A wall of thorns was manually built around the camp to keep out the majority of intruders. A tiny slit at the bottom allows kits to leave. Apprentices and elders are forced to use the trees to leave. The warriors, however, sleep in the trees. Having been trained - and born with the innate sense of forest living - to spend much of their time in the trees, the warriors protect the clan from the air, keeping watch over the clan from the branches. Should there be an attack, they can quickly descend from the trees and launch an aerial attack. The medicine cat's supplies are in a small cleft near the elder's den, although the medicine cat him/herself sleeps in the trees next to the leader and deputy.

Skills:
Soarclan is renowned for their speed and balance, using these abilities to swiftly run through the trees and grab forest birds out of the air or a wandering squirrel that's scampered up a tree. To hunt, they usually head towards the trees that are more exposed to the sun. Birds tend to sit on the branches and aren't prepared for a cat to come jumping out and snapping their necks. Even sleeping high up in the trees, their balance keeps them from falling from the treetops and it usually keeps outsiders from either joining the clan or attacking it.

Physical Description:
The members of Soarclan tend to be thin and short-furred, as constant running through the trees keeps them well-exercised, while the dense forest has kept them from the harsher elements. Without the need to protect themselves from the throes of deep Leafbare, their pelts tend to be shorter than most cats. There is no strict color that the clan's pelts may be, although they usually are more earthy tones. Sometimes, these cats need to reach the ground from higher-than-usual distances. As such, Soarclan cats also tend to have coarser pads and better strength in their legs to absorb the shock impact from hitting the ground running.

PostSubject: Re: Create a Clan!   Create a Clan! EmptyWed 2 Jan 2013 - 11:28

Clan Name:
SnowClan

Virtues:
SnowClan is a Clan of code-abiding, honest cats that value hard work and piety. They are often seen as rugged, rigid and restrictive by other cats, but within their camp is a truly well-oiled machine. The Clan obeys the Warrior code and their Leader with undying trust, and are noted for their closeness to StarClan. Despite their apparent stiffness, these cats are loyal and will protect the weak. You'd be hard-pressed to find a SnowClan cat that doesn't have a kind word for someone. However, like their environment, they can be unforgiving and judgmental and have little patience for anything but work. They're rather serious and look down at those who make jokes. Lazy cats get nothing in SnowClan.

Territory:
SnowClan territory is as the name implies; a cold, tundra like land that is quick to smother and slow to forgive those who have not mastered it. The southern part of the territory is filled with sparse trees and plains, while the north is made up of mountains. The SnowClan cats generally venture to the plains to hunt, but stick to the southern mountains where they are safe under the cover of pines. The territory is hard to sustain bountiful prey, but the rabbits and birds are abundant enough to keep the clan going. Foxes, wolves, and bears are constant threats to the cats of the tundra.

Camp:
These rugged cats make their home in a cave hidden from view, near the beginning of the mountains. The warriors sleep near the entrance to the camp, and the kits, queens and elders near the back. There is a large boulder that the leader addresses the camp from near the center. It is secluded and relatively safe from predators or those that would wish harm upon SnowClan, but the kits are still forced to stay inside the cave.

Skills:
The SnowClan cats can be praised for their toughness and stamina. They're agile enough to catch hares but hardy enough to sprint across the plains. SnowClan takes the individual cats aptitude into account: Depending on the cat, they may be sneaky and more oriented to catching birds, lithe and quick for chasing rabbits, or most commonly, a combination of strength and speed. Each vocation is celebrated in SnowClan. The Leader's example, the Deputy's insight, the strength and sustenance the Warriors bring . . . the wisdom of the Elders, the joy of the Kits, the compassion of the Medicine Cat, the love of the Queens and the willingness to learn of the Apprentices. None are considered less important than the others by most members of SnowClan.

Physical Description:
Most of the cats are tough and hardy, but the general appearance is a mix of Siberian and others. Most are long haired and blacks, browns, grays and whites.
