Generic Patrol Topic Name

Falconfang rushed over to the dens to look for Duststorm. He and the older warrior were supposed to go on a patrol of the borders, as Raccoonheart ordered. Ever since his punishment had been handed down, Falconfang had moved nervously around his former mentor, fearful of him finding out and what he would say. Now, of course, there was no choice, so he just hoped he could find Duststorm.

The older tom had been sleeping in later than he usually would. He grew tired more quickly, and could not go on many patrols. He was sure he was nearing elderhood, but wanted to push it the last bit. So it was in the warriors den that Falconfang found Duststorm.

When Falconfang found Duststorm in the warrior's den, he felt reluctant to wake him. The older warrior had never said anything, but Falconfang was starting to figure that his former mentor was getting older, and he would probably yell at the younger warrior should he wake him. Still, it was either get yelled at by Duststorm or Raccoonheart... Moving into the den, he prodded Duststorm with his paw. "Duststorm," he whispered. "Sorry to wake you, but Raccoonheart wants us to patrol the borders." He wasn't yet aware if he was talking to himself or not.

Slowly, the tabby tom blinked his green eyes open. Duststorm was a little confused about why he was awake, until he noticed Falconfang hovering over him. Instead of getting angry or upset, the older warrior stretched and stood in a silent answer.

"We... we should get going," Falconfang mewed timidly, not used to telling his former mentor what to do. "Wh-where do you wanna go?"

Having been told by the deputy that she was needed on a patrol that was exactly what she was going to do. Trotting around camp sbe tried to find Falconfang and Duststorm. Moving into the warriors' den she found the two toms. "Are you two ready?"
