Feathersong's having her kit.

ooc: Now, Mallow is gonna be born, which is her only kit, but something's gonna go wrong and she's gonna be forced to become an elder, due to it.

Feathersong padded outside. It was moon-high, and all of her troubles seemed to wash away at the sight of the moon sparkling. She looked at it, a warm smile on her face and her white spotted fur almost glowing in the moonlight and gentle breeze blowing by.
But not everything seemed right. There was a pain in her belly that she couldn't shake off this time. This one was more serious.
Feathersong let out a small moan, and almost started to gasp for air as a deeper pain followed and she shut her eyes.
No!
She fell, letting out another deep moan. "Softwhisper! Sagestar!" She gasped out the first two names she could think of. "Nightpaw! Gingerheart!"
She could barely get the words out, as it was painful. Hopefully, in a bit, she would be sitting in the nursery with a newborn kit, cuddled up to her with warmth.
No, something wrong. She'd seen many she-cat give birth before, but it wasn't like this. She imagined herself in the nursery. Dead. With her kit sitting by her, cyring and mewling. She shut her eyes again, waiting for the images to get out of her head.
But they wouldn't.
They kept going. Then flashbacks-- flashbacks of her telling her mate, and him running off, nowhere to be found. A tear fell off her cheek as all of it happened, too much for the deputy, and she just couldn't hold it in.

Nightpaw ran to her. "What?! WHAT!?" She yelled looking around wildly. Then she saw the poor deputy. She rushed over. "What is going on?" She asked, her yees wide in worry, "Are you sick?" She asked

"Nightpaw," she gasped. "Get Softwhisper... Sagestar... anybody..." She shut her eyes from pain. From anger. From sadness consuming her at the single point in time. "I'm kitting!"

Nightpaw Gasped. But didn't argue, She ran for Sagestar Because ebs is more active "Sagestar!" She called in to his den, "Feathersong is kitting!" She yelled in/

Rustpaw had heard all the commotion as he napped in his nest. Rustpaw's a lazy arse, every first post I make in a camp topic he's asleep. He stretched, yawning, and padded outside, just in time to hear Feathersong say she was kitting.
What?!? When'd she even have a mate?! he thought, eyes flashing. Confused, he leapt forward.
He would always help a cat that needed it, even in small matters such as this.

Sagestar spun around in his dead, wide-eyed, at first just shocked that Nightpaw had stormed into his den so suddenly. Even after that, Mr. Slow had no idea she was even pregnant. "She's w-what?!" He stuttered. Finally getting the que from his mind, the tom raced out of the den and quickly found his deputy. "Feathersong, are you alright?"

"Sagestar, I'm kitting," she gasped, setting her cold blue eyes on him.

ooc: She had a mate, but he was an NPC warrior from SC that ran away after she told him she was kitting :P She didn't tell really anyone.

Sagestar's emerald green eyes wavered down at her uncertainly before they suddenly carried a flash of frustration, "Flameheart..." He growled under his breath, knowing that the coward and left their deputy broken-hearted and fled to live the life of a kitty-pet. It was so dishonorable, it was just disgusting.
A sharp gasp from Feathersong drew him back into reality, though. "You're going to be okay. Just relax and - er - take deep breaths." He flicked his attention around the clearing to look for any sign of his brother, but seeing none, and settled with giving the she-cat an encouraging lick behind the ear. He hadn't even really noticed Rustpaw there.

Nightpaw rushed after Her mentor, Unsure of what to do. She flicked her tail uncertainly. "What can I do?" She asked, her voice wavering with fear.

Feathersong nodded, trying to take deep breaths, with some of them coming out shaky.

"G- Get her some water or something. And see if you can find my brother." Sagestar stuttered out, not taking his gaze away from his deputy. "And Feathersong just..." He paused and shook his head, trying to clear his head. "Hang in there and be strong. That's an order." He had seen Softwhisper do this a few times, never had he imagined that he'd have to... Didn't she-cat's have the instinct to do this themselves? The leader placed his paws on Feathersong's belly gently. "Let's get this over with. DX When you're ready..."

Snowpaw came rushing. "Time already?!?" she said. "Sagestar, can I help?" she begged.

ooc: HOSHET! Wut be goin on up in he-ah?! AINT NOBODY GOT TIME FOR NO KITTENZ

ic: Softwhisper bounded up, face blank, but mind ready. He had delivered a fair amount of kits in his tenure, and hoped that Feathersong's didn't have any . . . complications. "Sagestar, move over," growled the Medicine Cat. "You might hurt her."

Snowpaw looked at the Medicine Cat. "Can I help?" she said, again.

Sagestar openly let out a sigh of relief and stepped over to the side, aside Snowpaw. "Thank StarClan." He muttered.
