Flamekit's Ceremony

Lionstar leaped onto Highrock, gazing around camp. He lifted his chin and let out the usual call: "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath the Highrock for a Thunderclan meeting!" He yowled strongly.

Flamekit trotted out of the nursery with his neatly-groomed tail held high in the air. His fiery pelt glowed in the morning sun, turning his orange-striped coat to a blazing gold. Excitement shone in his amber eyes as he took his place below the highrock; This was the day! The day he finally retired from that cramped nursery and moved into the apprentices den. More importantly, he was one step closer to becoming a full warrior of ThunderClan and would soon be on the long Journey of training and hard work to get to it. He looked up at his leader, who loomed over him and the clearing that would soon be crowded with his Clanmates.

ic: "Flamekit, please step forward." Lionstar meowed.

Flamekit approached Lionstar from the base of the rock, looking up at him with hopeful eyes.

Redfern watched from the shade of the Highrock, looking at Flamekit approvingly. She gave him an encouraging nod as the small ginger tom stepped closer to their clan leader, Lionstar.

"Flamekit, you have reached the age of six moons and as custom is it time for you to be apprenticed." Lionstar announced. "From this day forth, until she has received her warrior name, she will be known as Flamepaw. Mosspelt, I feel you are ready to take on an apprentice. Your mentor trained you well as an apprentice, and you have shown to be couragous and loyal. I hope you pass on all that you know to Flamepaw." He finished, nodding to the two.

Flamepaws tail curled in satisfaction of hearing his leader finally address him as an apprentice. "Thank you, Lionstar." He meowed, bowing his head in thanks. He then walked over to Mosspelt and touched noses with his new mentor.

"Dismissed."
