Feathersong looked at Gingerpaw with a warm smile. She had a new apprentice for Fernpaw to train alongside.

IC: Oakkit sat and waited. Part of her wondered why she didn't have a mentor yet, but she remained patient.

"Yes!" Gingerpaw squeaked like a new kit rather than a new apprentice before immediately quieting herself and composing her look by sitting up proud and straight and puffing out her chest. "I mean, thank you," she said with a sofisticated tone before turning and looking at her mentor in complete admiration. The deputy was her mentor! The deputy! That was almost like being mentored by the leader! Of course, she was a little jealous of Cedarpaw, but Gingerpaw was still felt special to be accepted by Feathersong.

IC- Rustpaw, totally not forgotten in his own apprentice ceremony, stalked out of the nursery. he had heard everything, but because he had been extra tired and his legs were slightly stiff, it had taken him a while to get outside. He just sat down next to Tigerthorn, refusing to touch noses with her, and let out a quiet growl.
