Foxleap limped soundlessly out of the elder den, scars running deep down her back. She walked across the camp and laying down, leaning up against a rock. Her eyes filled of worry, as the wind rustled her fur. She looked up at the setting sun. The day had seemed all so peaceful...
The let out a gentle yawn, resting her head.

Runningfoot trotted over from the fresh-kill pile with a field mouse in her jaws. She caught the sight of Foxleap laying against a boulder. The she-cat walked over to her and asked, "How are you Foxleap?" Her words were muffled from the fur of her food.

Foxleap looked up, seeing the former deputy. "Oh... Fine," Foxleap responded. "You?"

"I am fine I suppose." Runningfoot sat beside the newly made elder. She couldn't believe that Foxleap had been eldered already. It was cruel but she guessed it was in the cards that StarClan had dealt the other she-cat. Laying the field mouse down, "Something is wrong what is it?" Runningfoot picked out in her voice an unknown cause was weighing her down.

"I..." Foxleap hung her head down. "I just can't help wondering if it was my fault... And if Lionkit is even... Alive..." It hurt to say the words, but she felt like she had to tell someone.

Runningfoot couldn't help but feel for this she-cat. Soon about to kit herself she would hate to have one of her own run. "It's not. Don't talk like that." Runningfoot pushed her nose into the orange pelt of the elder. "Look at it like this. Lionkit could still be alive, but you know none of the other clans would let a kit struggle if they knew, which they most likely would." Her tail came up and landed on Foxleap's shoulder. "It'll be okay."

IC: Foxleap looked at Runningfoot. "Thanks," she meowed, her eyes brightening.

Longpaw stepped out horsetail cobwebs and moss in his mouth she was probally limping and cringing in pain because of the infection.

IC: Foxleap looked over, seeing Longpaw. "Hi!" she meowed to the medicine cat apprentice.

Runningfoot nodded to Longpaw. "Hello, Longpaw."
