Catching Wind of the Truth (Part 3 of WC Plot)

OoC: Haha, see what I did there? With the wind? Yeah? Lol.


It was a peaceful, greenleaf day on the moor. A gentle breeze caused the long grass to sway, completing the picture. Nothing about the weather indicated the danger Windclan was in.

Willowstream was tiredly organizing her herbs in her den. She felt drained, physically and emotionally. The medicine cat had been working persistently on figuring out the sign from Starclan, but to no avail. The heat was starting to make her mind feel fuggy, so she gave up on the herbs and went to lie outside.

Almost the instant she stepped outside, Willowstream knew something was amiss. She froze, and parted her mouth, scenting the air. The smell that met her curiosity stung her nose. What came next scared her out of her wits.

A creature twice her size nosed its way into camp, its fiery orange fur seeming to glow in the bright sunlight. Another snout appeared, slightly smaller than the first. Finally, two small, queen-sized cubs came tumbling in. The stench was terrible, and for a moment, Windclan's medicine cat was paralyzed. Quickly, however, she unfroze, and a loud yowl rose up in her throat, alerting her clan to the danger.


OoC: There are 4 foxes. One is a large dad. Two cats (possibly including Stormeye) should take this one. The second adult is a mom fox. She will get nasty because she is protecting her cubs. No need to attack the cubs, and you don't need to kill the foxes. You only need to scare them off. Aaaand, go!

Shiningheart looked up from her grooming. her mouth gaped open. " Willowstream!" She howled and dashed over to her.She lifted her hackles, her lip drawn in a snarl. she face the foxes hopping more cats would come.

Stormeye opened his eyes to the cry from Willowstream, being asleep after a whole day playing with Lightningkit, and was soon racing from the warrior den without even being fully awake. He leaped at the closest fox, the biggest one, hissing as he raked his claws down its muzzle. The fox snapped at him, barely missing Stormeye’s ear. Stormeye reared up, and brought his paws down toward the fox’s head, but it quickly moved out of the way and as the grey warrior’s paws hit the ground, the fox bought its head into Stormeye’s side, sending the warrior flying to the high rock with a sicking thud. Stormeye let out a small moan, letting out a cough, spitting blood onto the ground. He shook his head, his ribs aching as he got to his paws. He figured he had broken a rib maybe, but he wasn’t going to stop him from keeping WindClan safe! He quickly leaped back at the one that had sent him flying to the high rock with a hiss, planning to be more careful as he ranked his claws down it side. He was unware of what the other foxes were doing, but he figured it would be important to take the biggest one down first.

Occ: I call keeping the nursery safe! One of the little baby foxes can head over there after a few posts. I shall keep the nursery safe by my self...until...you know I say that somebody can come and help me.

Ic: Shiningheart leaped at the biggest one after Stormeye, She Sliced its ear and nipped at it's paws nimbly dogging the snaps she received from the fox.

Stormeye slashed at the fox's eye, snarling. He glanced around quickly and noticed that only he and Shiningheart were the only warriors out here. "Foxes are attacking! StarClan were right! WindClan, to battle!" he yowled, ducking from a blow from the father fox.

Shiningheart leaped out of the fox's reach and jumped on its back bitching its shoulder blade.

Ravenfeather, awaken by the yowling cats outside, peeked outside the nursery. she momentarily froze at the sight of the foxes. shaking it off though her hackles rose, but soon went down in fright. Though Ravenfeather wanted to go out and protect her clan with the rest, she had a duty to stay at the nursery protect her kit. Ravenfeathers eyes searched for stormeye and soon found him. "Oh please be careful.' she silently meowed, her eyes watching him.

Petalkit woke to a cloud of thick tension and the smell of foxes. Wait. Foxes? Yes, it was! Excited and slightly... nervous. Well of course she wasn't going to miss out on this oppertunity, this was going to be so much fun! With a squeal the kit darted out into the clearing to be standing extremely close to a baby fox. With a squeal the kit backed away, but the fox let out a small blow, scratching the kit enough to draw blood. Yikes! The kit was very wrong, foxes were NOT fun!

Stormeye heard the squeal of Petalkit, and glanced backwards to see the small kit and baby fox. "Petalkit!" he cried, but in his moment of distraction, the fox he was fighting with Shiningheart raked his shoulder, causing him to stumble backwards. He hoped that the rest of WindClan would come and fight soon as he turned back to the fox, hoping that his mate would help Petalkit.

Once she saw Petalkit go after the fox cub, Ravenfeather shot forward, grabbing the kit by the scruff and quickly dashing back into the nursery, leaving the cub sitting there in a daze.

Foxpaw had awoke from the commotion. "F-foxes?" Her mind suddenly went blank, then after showing memories of foxes chasing down her rogue family, her mom hiding her and being killed along with her dad and siblings. She took a step back, eyes wide in shock.

Lightningkit was shaking with fear as he heard the strange animal. Wow, that has a strange smell! he thought. He squeiled in fear as he heard one of the animals snarl.

Stormeye glanced toward the nursery, expecting to see Ravenfeather outside of it, but he knew that she must of been keeping the kits from leaving the nursery. The mother fox made her way toward the nursery and her kit. but didn't stop at the little fox cub, but continued to slowly make it's way toward the nursery, it's mouth drawn into a snarl. The grey and black warriors let out a small hiss on angry, darting toward the fox and leaped onto its back, digging his claws into it's backside. Leaping from the fox, he landed on all fours with easy in front of the nursery, but the mother fox was furious about the attack on her, and sank her sharp teeth into Stormeye's tail. Stormeye ripped his tail from the fox's grip, losing some of his tail hair and turned, letting out a snarl as he slashed at the fox's face, getting one of it's eyes and it's nose. "Foxpaw, help Shiningheart!" he yowled toward his apprentice, having a feeling that she was awake, as most cats had to be so far.

Foxpaw came out of her initail shock and ran towards the fox, leaping on its back and ripping her claws into the flesh, leaving trails of blood on the ground as the fox yelped in pain.

Shiningheart hissed as the big fox tryed to bite her fore paws, she rearedon her hind legs and brought her claws smashing down on the fox's muzzle.
