Longpaw's battle training aka defence

Longpaw sat at the fresh-kill pile thinking of how many herbs his clan has, and soonly he would become a offical medicine cat, soon.

"Longpaw." Ravenfeather called. she slowly padded up to the medicine cat apprentice. "I'm going to be giving you your battle training today. Are you ready?"

Longpaw looked up "Y-ya" he stammered nervously, hoping this would kind of be easy.

Ravenfeather nodded. "Alright." she said. "Follow me." With that, Ravenfeather turned and started to pad out of camp.

"Ok!" Longpaw cheered bounding towards Ravenfeather, joy flooded his brown eyes.

"I was told that you only need to know the basics and nothing fancy. Is this true?" Ravenfeather asked him when they got to the training hollow.

"Yes, It is true Ravenfeather" he meowed.

Ravenfeather nodded slightly. "What do you already know?"

"That a warriors best attack is suprise, and you do not need to kill to win" Longpaw hardly had much knowledge on fighting or hunting.

"That's....something." Ravenfeather murmured. she looked at Longpaw. "The first thing we are going to work on is balance. without it, you'll lose everytime."

IC: Longpaw nodded and lashed his tail with a smile.

Ravenfeather was quiet for a moment, trying to figure out where she should start. "Lets start with the simple set and pounce.." she said, mostly to herself. Ravenfeather dropped into the set of a pounce; her body was flat and parallel with the ground under her and her tail was not moving. she glanced at Longpaw. "Copy this move as well as you can. Make sure you distribute your weight across all four paws and use your tail to help center yourself out."

Longpaw crouched low most weight on his haunchs and some on his front legs his tail straight out he made sure that his belly was low but not pressing against the ground, inspecting the area for twigs and leaves he could possible crunch.

Ravenfeather stretched out of the position and padded over to stand beside him. "Are you sure you are all balanced out? Ravenfeather questioned him.

"Yes, I'm sure" he meowed with confidence.
